Cross Country Skiing (Winter 2026) — sponsored by Kodiak
Cross country skiing is a great way to build fitness and enjoy being outdoors with friends, and the ACTiV8 - Cross Country Skiing program is specifically designed to build ski skills and confidence in a fun environment! The sessions are intended for students who want to learn the fundamentals of cross country skiing through games, drills, and skiing with peers.
Grades: 6-8 Wallace Stegner -SLC Campus
Dates: January 9, 16, 23 2026
Time: 2:30-4 PM on snow (leave school at 1:45)
Venue: Mt. Dell
Transportation is provided for this program for students attending Wallace Stegner in SLC
Waiver – Please make sure you fill out the following waiver Enrollment & Assumption of Risks form prior to December 20. Please note this does have to be verified by email.
Cost: $120/$50 scholarship
Scholarships:Â
- Regular scholarships are available for students on free/reduced lunch with families earning less than $50,000 annually. Just select a Scholarship ticket below to complete the registration process for your child.
- Partial Scholarships are now also available for families earning between $50,000 and $120,000 annually. To apply for a Partial Scholarship, please complete the application linked here to help us understand your financial challenges.
Equipment will be provided for students at the venue.
We do need a parent chaperone each week to help out on the trails with the classes. Please choose a chaperone ticket below to volunteer and your student will participate for free! Email questions to Camille [email protected]
IMPORTANT NOTES
- We will ski regardless of the weather, so no refunds will be given for bad weather, or once the program begins.
- National Ability Center (NAC) Assistance: If your child will need assistance from the NAC, please contact Andrew Ball at [email protected] once you've completed registration.
Illness: Please do not send your child to the class if they are home due to illness, or were picked up early from school due to illness, or are exhibiting symptoms of illness the days of the program. If your child comes to the program and tells their instructor that they do not feel well, or is exhibiting symptoms of not feeling well, they will not be able to participate in the class for that day and you will be called to come pick them up.
