Ecker Hill ACTiV8- Stone Carving!

We are excited to partner with Let’sCarveStone for a new ACTiV8 activity. Let’sCarveStone is a miniaturized version of stone sculpture. Students will use steel rasps (steel files for marble stone sculpture) on Utah alabaster that is cut into small triangles, rectangles, and squares allowing each carver to create simple shapes and animals easily.
Each week the instructor will have a specific carving such as a chess piece, a sea turtle, a dragon, an elephant, etc. The 4th and final class will be up to the students to try something personal for them, which they will start to plan at the end of the 2nd class.
Scholarships:
- Regular scholarships are available for students with families earning less than $50,000 annually. Just select a Scholarship ticket below to complete the registration process for your child.
