ACTiV8- South Summit Beginner Mountain Biking

We are excited to partner with Young Riders and Dave and Allison Scott from SSMBT to offer a four week mountain biking program for beginner to intermediate riders. Riders will learn safety, trail etiquette, ascending, descending, obstacles and some tips on how to get to the top. This program will happen rain (without lightning) or shine.
The location of this program will be South Summit Middle School for the first session for skills and drills and the trail rides are TBD. The location of the rides will be determined as we get closer to the start of the program, and we see what kind of condition the trails are in. We will use the trails at High Star if possible.
Transportation is not provided. If we are able to use the High Star trails, participants will ride from South Summit Middle School.

Dates: April 26, May 3, 10, 17; 1:30-3:30pm (Times may need to be adjusted slightly depending on location of the ride.)
- Bike
- Helmet (mandatory; your child will not be allowed to ride without one)
- Shoes and Socks (no open-toe sandals)
- Athletic clothing
- Protective eye wear (sunglasses are best)
- Cycling gloves (recommended)
- Water bottle or camelbak
Scholarships:
- Regular scholarships are available for students with families earning less than $50,000 annually. Just select a Scholarship ticket below to complete the registration process for your child.
