Art Class – No Rules 2.0: Reinventing Reality Through Interactive Art with Morgan McCue
October 11 @ 1:45 pm - 3:15 pm
$25.00 – $75.00When I asked my last class to define Street Art, words like “vandalism”, “illegal” and, graffiti” were thrown around. This is interesting because Street Art in its contemporary form has largely separated itself from these stereotypes. Cities have embraced urban expression by commissioning huge murals and celebrating flash art and unsanctioned installations. This class will focus on present-day influencers like CJ Hendry and her Pink Chair project, Kobra and his iconic murals, and Park City’s own vibrant street art scene. I will challenge students to see the physical world as a creative playground by bringing in odd materials each week to work with. The end goal is to transform the classroom into a group installation inspired entirely by their own unique ideas and impulses. On the last day, friends and family will be invited to attend the opening (and closing) of the exhibition. The goal is to inspire and empower students to think outside the box and value their own unique expressions.
This 4 week class is provided by Morgan McCue, to see more of Morgan’s work you can view her website at morganmccueartist.com
