Get Out & Play, Cross Country Skiing Session 1 (Winter 2023)

$50.00 – $110.00Cross country skiing is a great way to build fitness and enjoy being outdoors with friends, and the Get Out & Play - Cross Country Skiing program is specifically designed to build ski skills and confidence in a fun environment! The sessions are intended for students who want to learn the fundamentals of cross country skiing through games, drills, and skiing with peers.
Grades: 1st - 5th
Dates: January 6th, 13th & 20th
Time: 1:15pm - 3:00pm
Venue: White Pine Nordic Center.
Transportation is provided for this program.
Program Fee:
- Standard fee, $110
- Scholarship Fee, $50
Scholarships:Â
- Regular scholarships are available for students with families earning less than $50,000 annually. Just select a Scholarship ticket below to complete the registration process for your child.
- Partial Scholarships are now also available for families earning between $50,000 and $100,000 annually. To apply for a Partial Scholarship, please complete the application linked here to help us understand your financial challenges.
Equipment is provided for students at no cost through the White Pine Nordic Center, and instructors are from the Park City Ski and Snowboard Nordic Team. We do need a parent chaperone each week to help out on the trails with the classes. If you would like to volunteer, but don't own your own equipment, you may borrow some from White Pine free of charge. Please CLICK HEREÂ to volunteer!
IMPORTANT NOTES
- We will ski regardless of the weather, so no refunds will be given for bad weather, or once the program begins.
- National Ability Center (NAC) Assistance: If your child will need assistance from the NAC, please contact Andrew Ball at [email protected] once you’ve completed registration.
Illness: Please do not send your child to the class if they are home due to illness, or were picked up early from school due to illness, or are exhibiting symptoms of illness the days of the program. If your child comes to the program and tells their instructor that they do not feel well, or is exhibiting symptoms of not feeling well, they will not be able to participate in the class for that day and you will be called to come pick them up.
