Thriving Day Academy-GO&P Wasatch Ski and Snowboarding at Canyons, 2027 Epic Promise

The Get Out & Play Alpine Ski and Snowboard program gives kids the opportunity to begin or continue to learn skiing or snowboarding skills alongside their peers. The program is based on the unique partnerships we have built with our local resorts, and utilizes their talented ski instructors. This program is for Thriving Day Academy students. 

Program Details

• Dates: Thursdays, January 7, 14, 21, 28 and February 4

• Time: 12:15 pm – 4:30 pm (Class runs from 1:15 pm – 4:00 pm)

• Age: 1st-5th grades

• Venue: Canyons Village at Park City Mountain Resort

• Skill Level: Lessons are designed for beginner to intermediate skiers and snowboarders. Advanced skiers/snowboarders may prefer the UOP or Woodward programs.

• Transportation is provided to and from Thriving Day Academy. *Students must ride the provided transportation to and from the resort, no drop off or pick up at the resort.*

• Required Equipment/Gear: skis/snowboard and boots, helmet, googles, water-proof gloves/mittens and proper snow clothing.

• Program Cost:

  • $220 with a season pass

  • $245 without a season pass

  • $50 scholarship (for students on free and reduced lunch, includes ski/snowboard rentals)

  • $150 sibling (the sibling discount is available only with the purchase of a standard ticket)

  • The fee includes lift tickets (for participants without a season pass), instruction, and transportation. Equipment is not provided or covered under the program fee, except for scholarship tickets.

Early Bird Program Fee: $220 w/season pass; $245 w/o season pass. The Program Fee includes lift tickets (if your child does not have a season pass) and instruction. Prices increase after November 21st to $240 w/season pass and $265 without a pass.

Registration Deadlines: Be sure to register early as prices will increase on November 21st and registration will close on November 30th at 11:30pm. Scholarship tickets will close November 18th at 7am.

Scholarships:

• Regular scholarships are available for students with families earning less than $50,000 annually. Just select a Scholarship ticket below to complete the registration process for your child.

• Partial Scholarships are now also available for families earning between $50,000 and $120,000 annually. To apply for a Partial Scholarship, please complete the application linked hereto help us understand your financial challenges.

Equipment: Equipment is not provided unless on full scholarship.

Skier/Snowboarder Skill Levels:  Lessons are designed for skiers/snowboarders at a beginner to low intermediate level. More advanced skiers/snowboarders may want to instead sign up for the UOP and/or Woodward programs, or the Cross Country Skiing program.

The entire program is parent supported and chaperoned, so please do your best to assist! To make this program happen affordably we need parent volunteers. Volunteers for School Coordinator will receive a sizable discount on one (1) child’s registration.
